Spring has finally arrived…

Written by

The weather may not have got the memo, but spring is officially here! We have certainly had enough of snow getting in the way and are fairly sure it’s illegal to be this cold in the UK so close to April…

Despite the weather, we are looking ahead to blue skies and sunshine and thinking about what we can create with the beautiful spring shades we have swimming around in our heads. We’re fancying a cotton-look sleeveless top, a cute cardigan for the kiddies and maybe a new colourful jumper to see us through until this cold spell disappears. We’re all about using our bright, bold and beautiful colours to make us feel like spring (and dare we mention summer?) is on the way.

Take a look at our top choices for your spring palette.

Super Soft Baby DK

Super Soft Baby DK from Marriner Yarns | Only £1.25 per 100g ball

Our Super Soft Baby DK is made with a premium quality acrylic that has been treated with babies’ skin in mind. It is extra soft and perfect for knitting or crocheting anything for the little ones, but the choice of colours in this range is the perfect combination for spring.

It’s a DK yarn, which means you can use it for almost any pattern that calls for DK, all while sticking with your brights and pastel colours.

Smooth Touch Cotton Look DK

Smooth Touch Cotton Look DK yarn | Only £1.95 per 100g ball

This yarn was made for spring and summer knitting/crocheting. It’s DK, which means you can use it as indicated for any other DK yarns and patterns, but it’s been treated to feel as smooth and light as cotton. When the weather gets a bit warmer, traditional DK yarns could get you a bit flustered, but this yarn will help you feel cooler. Being so smooth also means it’s great to work with – you’ll have those spring projects finished in no time.

Twister DK

Marriner Yarns Twister DK | Only £1.50 per 100g ball

Our Twister yarn is one of our most popular yarns – which comes as no surprise to us. The quirky colour twist in the yarn means that when knitted or crocheted, it offers a more random colour effect. The pink and blue shades are great to use to add a bit of fun to any project at this time of year.
